gems are metallic minerals containing elemental metals as the
main part of their chemistry. These gems contain elemental
metals
such as copper, cobalt, iron, lead, nickel, titanium
and zinc. Others, such
as gold and silver, are native elements. Some gems, such as Campbellite and Mohawkite, are a conglomeration
(congl.) of several metals and other minerals and are not IMA recognized
